I have shot wood arrows until recently, and fletched them with the fletching tape. I found that when it came time to strip the feathers and refletch them, the residue from the tape left a gooey mess that required elbow grease and goof off to clean them.
As I was about to fletch a couple dozen carbons that I want to try- would it be better to use the tape or the glue- giving consideration to eventually needing strip and clean the shafts to refletch?
I can forsee having to deal with the mess at some future date if I use the tape, and don't think I could get away with it as well on the carbon as I did on the wood.
