Help with Arrow selection
« on: August 10, 2009, 01:55:00 AM »
I'm considering buying some Arrow Dynamics. I'm just not for sure if I should get the lites or not. Also, I'll only be hunting southern whitetails at most 160lbs.

I shoot an Ed Mikuta 60" recurve pulls 53# @ 28" My draw is 28.5" so I’m thinking I’m right in the middle area. Would it be better to go with the lighter spine arrow or the heavier spine arrow and add weight to the front? Thanks for the help. Jay
Genesis 27:3 Now then, get your weapons, your quiver and bow, and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

The AD Trad Lites will shoot fine, if you wanted to you could even add 100 grn inserts.

I agree  Trad lites would be the ticket, weight em up a bit and watch the perfect arrow flight, cut them at 29.5" bop.
You are correct in your idea of being in the middle
the Trad would work as well but I feel you would like the lite better with the 53# bow.

I shoot Trad lites, 31" with 125gr point= 490s.

I shoot between 54lb-56lb bows at 29" draw and they fly great.

If you plan on cuting your own remember to cut the point end only as the nock end is taptered.
