treesuit - hanging bow
« on: August 17, 2009, 10:58:00 AM »
I have a tree suit that I’ve used a couple of times.  One of the things I always struggle with is what to do with my bow when I need both hands free.  I’ve tried hanging it from a hook but the bow seems to be in the way when sitting and is easily bumped causing my arrow to fall off the rest.  Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I hang my bow on a hook installed on the back side of the tree which allows the grip of the bow to be about even with my hand. I'm right handed and reach around the tree with my left hand to retrieve the bow with arrow already nocked. I grasp the bow by the grip and press the arrow against the rest with my thumb at the same time.

I do pretty much like Foxbo and hang mine around  the left side of the tree out of the way.
....Quality deer management means shooting them before they get tough....

I'll have to try that.  Thanks for the idea.
