My elk season is down the drain
« on: August 20, 2009, 06:28:00 PM »
But in a way I’m happy. We have a contract on the house and the packers will be in September 8th the first day of elk season but after having the house on the market for 2 years I’m ready for this. I will miss the great North West but I’m ready to get back to Alabama and family......stabow

Oh you're just moving back there to shoot more than one deer a year.  It's OK, your secret is safe.

Mine too, similar story. The housing market here is still fairly brisk, sold ours in 11 days....too soon.  So in an effort to obtain a new abode, close on the house and move, I used up nearly all my vacation time. I'll do some hunting on weekends but nothing serious.

Three of my good college buds (Troy State) are from Elmore Co. They all settled there too. I wouldnt be surprised if you know of them.

We moved back from Montana a few years ago. We missed friends and family, but boy do I miss Montana!!!

Awesome,  I'm from Pike Road, Al.  Just east of montgomery.  Now live in Spokane, I don't think I could tolerate the humidity again but the deer season sure is the best.

good luck,

Good luck to you. Now you're going from one deer tag a season to a deer a day...
