Bow Quiver Recommendations Please....

Hey all,

I was looking through a couple of catalogs last night at some quivers from various makers and I noticed that just about all of them were pretty expensive.  Don't get me wrong, they looked VERY nice, especially the ones made of leather, but I would rather spend less on a bow quiver for my WARF.
I go to one of my local stores today and looked at several quivers they had for sale.  Now they don't deal in any trad stuff, it's all Wheelie Bows.  I did see a couple of small bow quivers from Bohning and others that looked decent.  The only thing is I don't think my WARF has the holes in the riser to accept the mounting bracket.  That caused me to think about it a bit.

Are there any of these bow mounted quivers that utilize a mounting bracket that can be attached to the riser using 2 sided tape or some other similar attachment method?

Any ideas you can toss out?  What quivers have you had and used that you liked?  Could these "quick release" style mounts be fastened to the riser using some type of 2-sided tape?

Any ideas?

Try **** for a Kwickee Quiver.

Don't think tape will do real well securing the quiver to your bow. The bracket itself doesn't have enough surface area to offer and chance for the tape to hold. If you prefer the Kwikee style quiver, you will need inserts installed on your bow.

I use the Thunderhorn Boa quiver. It uses compression straps that mount to the limbs below the fadeouts. Easy on/off and holds very securly to the bow. Great Northern has a quiver simular in design. The Boa will work on recurves or longbows, left or right handed and the folks at Thunderhorn run a good operation.

If your bow has limb bolts, you can go that route also with a limb bolt mounted quiver.

Two options come to mind;
-Look in ThreeRivers bowfishing section and get one of the strap on reel adapters which will allow you to mount whatever quiver you want(for the most part)-
-Or you could have someone tap the riser-
-Personally I use a GreatNorthern Adjustable on my longbow primarily because of the strap on system which has the same type straps. These straps are rubber and don't slide up the bow when your putting your arrows back in, like some of the other two piece types.

I have tried Selway slip on and Eagles Flight strap-on and I really like the Eagles flight. It seems to effect the bow way less. Not to mention it is a lot lighter.

After several big name quivers I feel the Eagles flight is the best one out there regardless of price.  They just happen to be very reasonable.

German Ridge. No tape, bolts-just quietly on and off without unstringing etc.

My vote for the Great Northern...and they appear often in the classifieds for $45-50.
