Sure you can use a dremel tool with the fiber cutting blade. But it would be helpful to make a jig for repeatable and square cuts.Unless you have a G5 squaring tool.If you can mount the dremel tool solid where it can't move. Then make a stop block with a tapered hole. Then put the nock end in the taper and then bring the shaft into the cutting blade and then rotate the shaft as you cut it.Thats how the more expensive saws cut arrows, you bring the shaft into the blade and rotate it as you cut.The taper keeps the nock end centered and rotating the shaft as you cut gives you a square cut.The blade just has to cut into the shaft and you rotate it around to complete the cut.I made my cut-off jig with a Harbor freight mini cut off saw for less the $30.

Put some masking tape at the spot where you want to cut the shaft and use the dremel cutting wheel/disk. You can get a very square cut this way. Just make sure the tape lines up to itself all the way around the shaft. Cut on the tape line, use some sandpaper to smooth the cut if needed and you are good to go.

I cut mine with a dremel. I did build a jig out of squared off 2x4s, with a square cutting bevel for the dremel blade to kind of "guide" the cutting. I just get the dremel close enough to cut into the shaft, then rotate the shaft to cut. Hard to describe, as this is a rigged up tool at best. It cuts square and very neat though.

I've been using a Dremel Tool for years. Just like JRY and VAFarmer, I made a jig for the tool. I clamp the jig to my table saw then set the length with fence and rotate the arrow. I then use a G5 Squaring tool to dress up the ends.

Several years ago I made a jig like JRY described. It's inexpensive and works extremely well.

I do it by hand using tape, then square the end with the G5 ASD (Arrow Squarind Device).
Works great. I always cut them a hair long so I could get them perfect with the ASD.
Good luck.

Here's a great tip that O.L. Adcock gave early this spring on another post. If you purchase those cheap sets of cut-off wheels, saturate them with super glue to give them more life! Good shootin, Steve

Here's what I did. The cutting wheel I got at Sears. Please note, this wasn't my idea, but I got it from a fellow Tradgangster.
