All Bocote Pronghorn
« on: August 28, 2009, 11:18:00 AM »
I got a request on another thread (Wish I had an elk tag) to post pictures of my all bocote Pronghorn takedown.  Specs are 60 inch, 56 @ 28 and 50 @ 28.  Out of the 56#s I am shooting 65-70 tapered Surewoods, 29 inches BOP with 190 El Grandes.  Now you see why I wish I had an elk tag with that setup.

Bacote always looks good IMO, but that is a BEAUTY.  If it shoots half as good as it looks it should make lots of meat!

Herb does make a fine looking, sweet shooting bow. Now I'm officially a Pronghorner, too. Are you coming west to push your brother up any hills this year?

No, I struck out on all tags this year.  The son of one of his old partners from Michigan drew.  I think they are leaving next weekend.

That's the first all bocote Pronghorn i've seen. She looks like she was made for Elk hunting in the mountains. Sweet bow Dave.
