Nice!! Glad to see it is possible to get one in Nebraska. I tried this weekend but the only one that got close enough didnt give me a shot.

Guru..if you are wanting to travel to Nebraska as one of those states for the slam let me know maybe ya could teach me how to do it. I know where they are I just dont know how to hunt them..  :banghead:    :banghead:

Gorgeous bird! Congratulations!
Where's Hilton? I heard them gobbling almost every day for about a week. Gets the blood boiling and puts a smile on my face. Won't be long now... but we won't be hunting at 5pm this year in NY. What's up with the new regs?
Good luck with the home flock too!

Aram,

Hilton is about 20 miles West of Rochester....

Nebraska and all the other states that let you hunt all day in the spring, got it right! There is no impact on the resource and a dead gobbler is a dead gobbler am. or pm....

I will be asking our state bowhunting organization the "New York Bowhunters" to try and push for "all day hunting" on spring birds just like we have in the fall... It's a non-divisive issue as both gun and bowhunters benefit... I would think that it would get good support.... The idea that our hunting somehow disturbs nesting hens after 12 noon is a joke.... and the other states have proven that this is not the case....

If you hunt with a bow in NY, please join NYB and ask them to push for this change.....
