I have heard that some people believe that if you give knife that they have to give them a coin or the friendship will end, is that what you are talking about?

Yes, I made a knife for a friend and he gave me a coin. It is supposed to keep the friendship from getting cut or severed.

Thanks Chester. I have heard different stories about a knife gift. This man and I have been friends since highschool and this was a 54th birthday gift.

I'm Thinkig about making him a Canadian coin pendant. They seem to embrace wildlife in their money alot more than we do in the good old USA

Growing up I had heard of this and that you are never to say thank you for receiving a plant. If you give thanks for the plant it will die since we don't own living things.
