New To Me Crow Creek Black Feather
«

I've previously owned two of Elmer's Black Feather longbows and I foolishly let both of them get away from me. I made the payment to buy one that will be new to me. It should be shipped shortly. The bow is 62", 48#@28" and has Canebrake skins on the backs of the limbs. Below are a couple of pics of it.
I copied these pics from the ad in the classifieds and did a bit of manipulating on the first pic to make it look like a RH bow instead of a LH bow.

Very nice. I really like my Crow Creek bows. I have a Blackfeather, Crow Mag and a Dalton. My goal is to have one of each of his bows. I still need a Clovis and Copperhead to finish the collection.

This Black Feather completes my collection......... of one Black Feather and one Marriah Thermal. I buy and sell, or trade, lots of bows, but I only hold onto two. I can't see myself selling or trading either of these bows.

Bill, I love the riser combo. Congrats!
As for me, yes, I too love the Crow Creek Blackfeather longbows!~
I started with the 62", but always wanted a 64" (so I had Elmer make me one). Then, Elmer gave me a great deal on his first 66" Blackfeather "LR" and now that one is in my arsenal (and it's also my "go to" bow). I'll hunt with it this season.
In time I hope to find a Schafer, Foley and a Wes Wallace... then, after that... I'm done... I think....

I picked up the Black Feather today at The Archery Shop. As always, it showed the same fine temperament and shooting qualities of the other 3 Black Feathers I've owned. This one has the Canebrake snakeskins on it and I thought perchance that it would diminish the performance somewhat, but I didn't notice any difference at all.

I am pretty new to trad. I have a Black Feather and it seems to like the heavier wood arrows. I would like to shoot carbons out of it, but it seem loud when I do. What are you shooting out of yours?

I had mine up for sale and I think it was David who talked me into keeping it. I want to thank him for that. My Black Feather has become my favorite bow. I hope to have some pic's with a nice deer and my Black Feather to post this fall.
