Ankle fit waders and knee boots

Reading the Double Bull blind frustration topic reminded me of another frustrating experience.
Twice I have failed to put plastic bags into rubber ankle fits and if I had not had assistance, I would have cut them off.
The last time it wore me and my friend out and if I hadn't had the steering wheel to hold onto, he would have pulled me out of the truck.
They go on easy when dry, but are impossible once sweated wet.

Have you tried a boot jack? They work with everything I own plus cowboy boots.

Kinda unreasonable to carry a boot jack a hundred miles or more into the Alaskan bush!

I really like my "Bog Buster" hip boots from Cablas. They have a buckle harness around the anlkle to keep things tight down there; unbucle to remove. I climbed all over Kodiak Island in them.

I also used the Bog Busters from Cabelas in Alaska. I thought they where great in the tundra on a Caribou hunt. It was wet the whole time and my feet and legs stayed dry.

A third vote for Bog busters. Also like the neoprene tops for their warmth. In knee boots, can't beat Muck boots. Very easy on and off in my opinion.

The last thing I need on a Haul Road hunt is warmth. Do the Bogger's come in an uninsulated version.
I don't like the hip boots either, but when crawling thru the tundra, often in water, there isn't much other choice.
