we lost a Quinn Stallion shooter

Some of you may know that the actor Patrick Swayze was from Houston (WaltripHS'70)...
He grew up not far from where David & Peggy Quinn used to own Hillcrest Archery in the Spring Branch area of Houston.
And used to shoot at our local club, Buffalo Field Archery Club.

A few years ago, in town, he dropped in to say Hi to the Quinns and bought a Stallion to pack on horseback.

Terry Quinn & Patrick Swayze

Rest In Peace Patrick, you will be missed.

I never knew he was a shooter/hunter they have to hide that in Hollywood or get blackballed.

If you don't beleive that ask Tom Selleck.

God Bless you Patrick Swayze you will be missed.

Whitmire - he owned a beautiful ranch in northern NewMexico. He bought the Stallion because he hunted from horseback.
When he used to come by the local Houston archery club to shoot - was a GOOD shooter !

It's nice to learn that he had time for flinging arrows and the outdoors; may there be plenty more of both in heaven!

Yes, it's good to know this! Thanks Capt. Jack!  I always loved Partrick as an actor. Red Dawn, was my first movie memory! Remember his brother after shooting his first deer!

I don't think he could have ever made a bad movie! And he loved horses, that says alot!

If you have more stories, please post!

Prayers to his family and friends!

Dang, would of been a good advocate of the sport if it wasn't so poorly looked upon in Commiefornia. He was one of the VERY few actors I respect. He will be missed by many.
