I've heard that Thompson's water sealer on the tops is a good option, though i have not tried it. My bigger problem is bugs (thinking bees) boring holes in them...

i just put another coat of spray paint on my new Delta target--the paint "sticks to plastic". Hope it helps, the target was pricey.

I use Exterior house paint, just put on a couple of heavy coats then use spray paint to repaint/highlight the features. For the eyes, mouth, ears, tail, and hooves, I use pieces of paper or blue painters tape to block out the surrounding areas. I usually shoot a hole through the target before the weather gets through the new paint.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

The UV is what breaks them down for the most part, any coating with UV blocker should help but the best is store them inside or cover them when not in use..

I bought a couple of BBQ grill covers to throw over mine. Blocks the elements and UV damage.

Not sure, but how about some of the tire cleaners or sealers? Like armor all, maybe help with arrow removal, too! The grill covers sound good, also. Put a couple of wheels on them, and when done, put them in the shade or under an awning

I do like Walt, a good coat of exterior latex paint will revive even the ones with a weathered, chalky exterior. I took a piece of foam from a new target to Lowe's and had them match the color when I bought my paint.

I use a water based deck sealer called Seal-Tec
It brushes or sprays on looking like thinned milk but dries clear. It's the best stuff I've found. Rinehart used to suggest this and only this on his targets to protect them from weather and UV rays. Give it a try.

I do the paint as well. Several heavy coats and it will be protected as long as its in one piece.

I have a total of 41 targets out in my range, from 2D from Spence that are now over 12 years on the range to some Delta that are about the smae age. I just every few years go around and fill in the cracks and shot holes with the poly window sealer in my sealer gun. I then repaint with brown ( deer ) color and white for the belly, muzzle, tail and neck areas. Cost me a 20 bill a year. I also have my biggest problem with fall coming it is the bees, some type of the bee bore into the targets. What a pain to fill them in and then repaint...
