Arrow question
« on: September 22, 2009, 12:52:00 AM »
The bow is a wing archery red wing hunter.47# @ 28 " My draw is 28" I have some easton gamegetter 400 size shafts.I cut a few to 29.5" and i am using 125 grain tips with the stock 30 grain insert. The arrows seem to peform fine. Does this sound like the right arrow for me.I am in the learning stages of arrow dynamics.I thank you for  any input.

Have you shot one bare and see how it flys? A Gamegetter 400(2117) has a .407 spine which sounds alittle stiff for a 47# bow.

Seems it me that arrow would be pretty stiff.  I would think more like a 1916 or 2016, depending on length and point wt.

Arrow flight can be a hard thing to see.  Try shooting one of your fletched 400 thru a sheet of newspaper from 6-10 feet.  My bet is that it will show a stiff tear.
