Beman MFX Classic or CX Heritage

Which would be a better arrow choice (durability, consistency in weight and spine)?  I'm gonna be using them in a 50# Martin X-200 with Dacron string pulling 50# @ 27" arrows cut to 29" or 30" with 200 to 250gr. up front; and I'm hoping to use them in a 45# Martin X-200 with Fastflight string (Not sure if difference in string material matters when choosing spine) and I'm looking at the Beman 500's and CX 150's and 250's.  Sorry, this will be my last arrow/spine post.

Both are a great shafts.  Now it's a matter of personal preference.  I use CX's myself, I don't care for the small diameter of the MFX and dislike the HIT system.

It's hard to beat the CX for durability. I have shot them (not on purporse) into a steel sawblade using an 80# bow and have them bounce off and not even crack. Can't say that about the Beman's.

I use the Beman MFX and love them.  They're stiff and penetrate amazingly.  I would recommend getting an aluminum arrow to sheath the insert end for stability.  If it hits a hard surface, it could crack.  That said I have shoot my arrows through boards with no damage.

You may also want to consider the new Easton Epic Infused.  Those are tough as nails... much tougher than any carbon arrow out there... or Alaskan Bowhunting's Grizzlystiks.  Those arrows are near impossible to break.

I also choose to use the Beman and Easton (Grizzlystiks too) because they are made in the USA.  Carbon Express moved their productions overseas (korea I believe) and shut down the US plant... not a fan of companies that charge a premium for arrows while cutting or eliminating American jobs in order to boost profits.  That is why I shoot ONLY Easton or Beman arrows which are proudly Made in USA.

I shot the Muzzy shoot this year with Heritage 150's. Boulders, rock walls, trees, deflected shots...you name it its there to eat arrows. I lost a nock. Thats it.

I'm with you mrpenguin,  if I already had CX I'd use them but I'm not going to go out and buy them after hearing that.  I shoot only Eastons with my wheels.  I don't like the price but I may give the Grizsticks a try.  How much weight would I need up front of a 29 or 30" arrow to get them flying good out of 45 - 50# curves?

I have both...they are excellent.  My only comment is I will be using the Bemans on opening day.
