Gene has received his books and started his mailings. Mine, I'm sorry to say, is a different story. The books were supposed to come out at the same time. They ran into some major computer issues at the bookmaker when transferring software programs. "Some of the text may have been lost", therefore it needed entirely re-edited. Then, there were some distortion problems with the photos/artwork (137 photos and 26 drawings/art). They have supposedly got all the problems solved but it put me behind many weeks. I'm pretty stressed out on this whole deal as I know a pile of people ordered the book for Christmas presents, etc. As of the other day they are promising delivery to me right around New Years. But the fact is I know it won't be finished in time for Christmas. I sincerely apologize for this but it's totally out of my hands and now we're at the mercy of the publisher. Thanks to all for your patience. BW

I never would have guessed that a coloring book would be that hard to publish.  :bigsmyl:

Thanks for the reply Barry,

I read your reply earlier about the trouble with the publisher. Just wondering how things were going. Sorry to read of the stress, but some things we have no control over.

I got both limited edition books as Christmas/birthday gifts as well.................

for me.   :bigsmyl:

No problem on the wait, as quality takes time.
Looking forward to reading both books.

God Bless,
David B.

Just got mine. Look at it this way Barry, we all would have read yours first. Now we don't have to hurt Gene's feelings.

Your publisher woes reminds me of the days when we were first starting to print from electronic file many years ago. It's all old hat for us now. We are fully digital and print on demand. We know how to handle the bugaboos before they are a real problem. Printing with toner has come a long way, but it will never match litho. Too bad we're not doing the "old" lithograhic printing anymore. We could've relieved some of your stress. When you have a book that you want to last as long as the paper it's on, you want to use real ink, not toner.
