Wool Hunting Gloves
« on: October 02, 2009, 05:13:00 PM »
I used to have a cousin in the Air Force and he would get me what i think were the pilot gloves. Long thin wool with thin leather palms. They were warm and you could pick a dime off of a table with them. My last pair has been patched i think the last time and I need to find something else or these same gloves. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Let me know when you find them. Here in MI we have Meijer Thrifty Acres, Ragg wool gloves w/dots $2.99. Pretty decent.

Sounds like Army flight gloves. I use them all the time.

Nomex gloves are great. I ran out of my govt. issue some years ago, but they made great hunting gloves. I may have to break down and buy some.

As someone stated, those are Nomex flight gloves.  I wouldn't call them warm...but they are better than nothing.  I think they run about $25 a pair.  The Nomex is kinda pricy.  You can get them from US Cavalry.  BTW if you think those gloves are warm...try a flight suit in the middle of summer in the south.

Try colemans military supply on line they have everything.
