The wind's wrong
« on: October 05, 2009, 03:29:00 PM »
I woke up this morning to a steady rain so I didn't head out.  By daylight the weather was better than perfect and I had blown a perfect opportunity.

Now, I'm getting ready to hit the woods.  Let's see, it's damp.  It's cool/cold.  It's windy and the wind is wrong for the treestand that I had intended to hunt so I have to go elsewhere.  It's a full moon.  It's early in the season and the bucks aren't really thinking about does yet.  Basically, it's not the best of conditions and........

I'm so very excited to be going hunting!!!!

Same here. I had rain solid from Thursday - Sunday. On and off with high wind.

I sat anyway though. I'm glad I had cold gear on.
