New Arrowmaster-Help

Okay, so I hunted tonite with my new arrowmaster.Figured my arrows would be protected from the wind driven rain. Got home and my feathers were all smashed. Only pulled and replaced one arrow. Am I doing something wrong? 5 1/2" sheilds.

Rain had nothing to do with it. 4 arrows. Just don't see how to keep feathers from getting all mish-mashed together?

The feathers in an arrow master are resting on the side of the quiver but I've used mine a lot, even left arrows in the quiver for a long time and have never seen my feathers mashed.

Of course they touch each other and the side of the quiver, but I've had no problems like what you describe.

I guess I don't know what to say...  My experience hasn't been like yours.

DO you have the right length quiver for your arrow length?

Like the others, I sure haven't had that problem.  I generally carry 5 or 6 arrows, and have had it in the rain a number of times with no problems.  They might get a bit ruffled up, but nothing that would affect anything, and certainly not mashed.

If your fletch is in the end of the quiver opening part in part out, it can be rough on the fletch. I have the fletch covers and like the fletch clear of the quiver opening and use the fletch covers to protect the fletch.

I keep my arrows in my Arrowmaster all season long, never had the problem you speak of. I carry up to 8 arrows as well, rain,, snow wind and sleet, no problems!!

Yes Dave you got it, half in half out. I bought this used here on class. Rod is making me a longer fletch cover, my arrows w/bh around 36". Like I said rain had nothing to do with feathers getting rumpled. I think its the half in half out thing. What's the remedy?

Maybe you forced the shafts down against the side of the quiver when you inserted the broadheads in the foam. I haven't had any issues and I carry 4 broadheads and a judo with 4 5" feathers on them.

I'm not sure if this will work or not after looking at the photo's on their website.  But you COUlD try a foam 'plug' with notches cut to hold the shafts.  It works great in my chief and will work in raptor style quivers to keep fletchings from mashing together.

Not all feathers are as stiff and durable as others.

Put a bigger piece of foam or such in the bottom so the fletch extends all the way out and then use the fletch cover.

Rod called me today and gave me some tips. Seems I have the newer version that has 2 wires inside to keep the shape. Didn't realize you could reshape, so I made it more round. Mine got squashed flat a little during shipping. I expect this to take care of my problem. Thanks for all the good suggestions, I Love You Guys. Tom
