Any using the small Bushnell Trophy Cameras?
« on: October 06, 2009, 10:59:00 PM »
Wondering if anyone has tried the new small (4”x6”) Bushnell Trophy Cams?  I’m looking at getting one and need some opinions.  I currently have a Moultrie I40.

I’m also looking at a Cuddy Capture IR.

I personally dont own a Cuddy Capture, but know 3 guys at work that have more than one and swear they'll never by another camera but the Capture.  They all agree that they are very easy to use.  I too had looked into the Bushnell and from what I researched they are mighty fine cams also

Josh I bought one this year and it is great. Close to 600 photos not that many misses, use lithium bat. I have used the same bat. all year long still full charge.Great range and better night pics than i have some of the high dollar camera take. I had 2 does come through it the other morning right at first light got the pics and the dont even know it, all the camera does is put off a small red light for not even a second to take the pics at night. Hope this helps

A buddy of mine bought a Bushnell and seems to like it.  IR pics aren't as clear as some I've seen but it does work well.

I have several friends who have the Trophy Cams, and have been getting great results with them so far. Santiam has a Trophy Cam as well as a Cudde Capture.

I have one and also a moultrie i40 the bushnell is good but I would have to say the moultrie can get better pics at night and also 20 more feet out.
It sure is nice and small to hide well!

Bushnell will let water in if it rains alot. Had bad luck with them so far. They replace em,the new ones leak same as last ones.

Nothing but good things to say here, I have one and another on order, very pleased with it. The video was particularly impressive.

The new little Bushnell is the exact same camera as the ScoutGuards and Coverts but in a different case. Bushnell went to the same manufacturer in China to get them made. Thats why the Coverts and Scoutguards are so hard to get now. Bushnell has pushed out the little guy.

Never used the bushnells but love my Coverts. I have a buddy that runs 30 of them all summer, fall and winter and he loves them as well.

Josh, I have three of the SG550's they are a little cheaper than the Covert II Assasins but I've tinkered with them and they are great as well.

What did you tinker with?  Also where did you buy yours...I haven't seen them around here.

I have been using the Bushnell for the last couple of months. I love the video mode and that is what I mostly use.
I have had mine out in all the rain we have had lately and it has stayed dry. I do have it in a metal security box which probably helps with the water.
Mine is still going strong after three months with cheap AA batteries.
