After reading this story a couple weeks ago, I really started thinking about my family.  This story really touched me.  I have a wonderfull wife and two kids that are my world.  I want our futures together to be filled with adventures in the outdoors.  Weather it be camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, sports, or whatever it may be.

I've hunted for nearly 20yrs incident free, but it only takes one slip to changed the rest of our lives.  Ever since I saw the thread about this story, I havent been able to shake the thought of the man in his wheel chair teaching his son how shoot a bow.  That is a very humbleing picture.  Everytime I went up my stand, it was in the back of my mind how would my life change if I would take a fall.  I found myself not going as high as I once would have.

I want to thank Scott for sharing his story for other to see (myself included) and others on TG that posted similiar threads recently.  Everywhere I turned, there was talk of safty harness.

Today I order my 1st safty harness and it should be here in time for my next hunt.

Thanks again, Mike

Really a sobering story, thanks for sharing, makes you think for sure.
Most people get rich by making more money than they have needs, me, I just reduced my needs!
