moultrie camera lock box vid FYI

I'm not sure about the authenticity of this vid but just wanted to post this for you guys to check if you have one of these boxes.
 

Is this product this bad?

I saw that too.  I recently bought a Moultrie lock box and that design flaw doesn't exist on the model I have.  The back rail is solid.  There is also a small piece of metal the slides over before the lock that prevents any vertical play.


This box has it's own set of issues, however.  It locks my I40 in so tight that you can't adjust the angle at all.  It does have screws on the back plate that line up with the plastic every time though.

I guess they modified their design. That's good.

I made my own out of a meter box.

My only concern on my camlock box is some one bending and breaking the tabs that connect the cover to the box. If these were broken off the cover could be pryed open I think.

I just got mine for my Moultrie D40. It IS a well made box for sure! At first I thought they sent me the wrong one. I couldn't get my camera in it. The fit is THAT close! I'm going to use it as soon as I can find one of those python cable locks and some hardend lag bolts.
