Bear season is winding down and so far have had a 200 and 300#r at closing. The 300#r was on Oct. 2nd with 25 min. before closing.  He circled but didn't come in but boy did he get my heart a thumpin. I've had 7 different bears on the camera at this bait on our property, which has been very surprising since we had no idea that we were in such an active location. The 200#r was a few days before and did come to the bait 5 min. after closing.  I pulled on him twice but didn't release. Hopefully it was ethics that made me stop but I've shot over two does this season and uncertainty may a have had equal time. The hunt always tests us and hunting within the rules provides ultimate satisfaction.

Good stuff Bruce! I was wondering how it was going with you and the bears at your place! Keep us updated and good luck the rest of the season! Sure would be cool if we could get a deer hunt in this season together!
