Is this enough for Whitetail?
« on: October 09, 2009, 07:26:00 PM »

The bow is 70#@30"

Arrow weighs 987gn

Broadhead is knapped glass 2" wide, 3" long & 300gn (I think....)

Will it be enough, I wonder?

   )

Somehow, I think it might get the job done. What a great looking setup!

No idea, but it sure is beautiful. I am far from an expert, but the head looks awfully big for glass.

Is that a normal size for a glass bhead?

Lord no! It's about 3 or 4 times bigger than you'd expect from glass!  :D

Nicki Roth once told me,"If you cut em in two, you'll be able to find both halves." Good to see you found a fitting arrow for that self bow. Good Hunting Rob!

I think you will have trouble with a knapped head that big.  I've shot some at game and had them actually bounce out.

If you look at the aboriginal knapped heads they are all much smaller.

Rob and the flying meat cleaver!
that thing is likely to kill a deer if you accidentally fumble and drop it out of your stand onto said deer.

Good luck buddy, it'l look even better with Blood on it!
