739gr arrow
« on: October 13, 2009, 12:03:00 PM »
well I picked up a Bears Paw 58#28-58" recurve swift. Went out today and shot it some.Normally I draw 30" but this bow feels great at 29" and shoot awesome. No string silencers on it. After shooting all the arrows I normally shoot and nothing flew good at all. I had some that I got awhile back. they are CARBON EXPRESS CXL HUNTER 250 AND WITH MY MOHAWKS ON THEM COME IN AT 739gr 30.5". just chrono then and get 158-160 8 shots same arrow. That seem ok right? I was going to have this bow refinished and reduced in weight butt am going to hold off for a little bit. What you guys think?<><

I worry very little about speed but I would think 160 with that weight arrow would be very good.

If you have good arrow flight, they should hit like a freight train.

Perfect flight with that much mass at the speed should equal penetration.
