bow question

Is there any advantage to carbon/foam limbs in a longer (say 66 inch) slight r/d longbow that shows a D profile when strung?  I am in the market for one around 54 lbs at 28".  If so, who makes one with the carbon/foam.

knowing that carbon/foam eliminates weight (and probably many more benefits), it seems that those materials would be beneficial in any configuration as it takes less energy to get the limb recovering/returning (potential energy transfered into kinetic energy - oops, I said the bad word....)meaning more energy transfered to the arrow....

as to who makes a d-shaped in carbon/foam, no idea.

I was going o recommend you contact Bob Morrison then I noticed his post???????? above. Since I don't know what that means, believe I would still contact him for info regarding carbon foam limbs. Another contact would be Jim Belcher of Belcher Bows. Jim has made some bows with carbon foam limbs and he makes a nice D shaped longbow. Either Bob or Jim should be able to answer your questions.
