Moose hunt Sunrise picture
« on: October 20, 2009, 09:15:00 PM »
Just got back from 9 days of Moose hunting in Quebec. I called a bull to within 30 yards but he winded me before presenting a shot. Had the time of my life spending 9 days with Dad and being in the most spectacular place I have ever seen. Here is a favorite picture. Already planning my 2011 return trip.

Nice pic Bob, A little bird told me that you two guys had a blast. Did you get a lot of responses with your calling? How did your Dad make out? Good luck with the deer

Jim,

Thanks ! Dad passed up cow on the second day. He said he wasn't sure of how big she was ( any moose was legal) but I know he passed because he didn't want to fill our tags. Where we were in Quebec two hunters have to tag one moose. If he shot her we wouldn't have been able to hunt the rest of the trip. He passed so I could hunt !
Good luck with your deer as well. I will be out this weekend.

Thats awesome, the hunt is truly the high point, not the kill! Congrats on a great hunt with your father!

Bob, that's truly a hunt of a lifetime, I would give anything to have my dad able to go on any hunt with me. I'm glad you two had those moments.

Wow dude! Just read why your dad didn't shoot. Near too much. Don't take things for granted. Frosty pic tells a story. Great hunt! Thanks
