Broadheads for hogs
« on: April 06, 2007, 06:34:00 PM »
This is what I have:

125 gr Woodsman on a 29" cedar shaft (3 Rivers)

135 gr Zwickey Eskilite on a 29" 1816 Easton Camo Hunter

160 gr Zephyr Sasquatch on a 29" 2016 Easton GG II

I also have some 29" 1916 Easton GG II's.

Of course I can swap the screw-in heads and the aluminum shafts.

When I get out there which combo would you go with? I'll be using a 47 lb Horne Traditionalist longbow.

The cedar arrows just arrived today. I've read so many posts about using wooden arrows I thought I'd better get some.

My GFA quiver from Laclair's shop will hold 7 arrows. Maybe bring a mix?

I would settle on the one that fly's the best and stick with it!!!

Why would you want a mixed bag?

I would stick that woodsman on an adapter and screw it in that 2016. (if I did not have a Simmons handy)    :bigsmyl:

I've given the Sasquatch heads a real workout for the last 4-5 months and have been extreemly impressed. I've got about 10 big game kills with them and have shot completely through all animals but two. I shot some big pigs too and my thoughts on big two blades has changed. I like the Sasquatch! Oh yea, and the Griz 190 too. CK
