Does anyone use the Lone Wolf wolf pack
« on: October 26, 2009, 05:23:00 PM »
A buddy of mine bought this stand new and used it one time and wants to sell it. I was thinking about buying it and ordering the seat climber. Anyway are any of you guys using the wolf pack carrying system and how do you like it.

Thanks

I have a Lone Wolf climber,  have been eyeing the carrying pack for some time,  gotta be better than the generic straps that come on it.

I had one,but I sold it,it was nice enough.IMO it had too much stuff hanging under the stand when the stand was in use and it was a pain take the stand off of it every time,it's much easier to use plain old backpack staps an carry your gear separate.... Bill

I have one on my Lone Wolf Hang-on...  I have the first year model... Saw them at the ATA show and had to have one...

There are some things I would change... the buckles were at that time really cheap... in fact my buddies broke the first time out... I've not had trouble with mine, but heard others had as well...

Secondly the " load lifter" straps on top aren't spaced right and when pulled all the way up the stand still rides on my butt...

They are adjustable for most sizes... but honestly I think they are overpriced...

I think my next set up will be with an Army Molle Harness and Waistbelt...

Has anyone tried them on other brands of stands?  ...are they adaptable to fit other ones?

Jonathan,

They look like they would fit any stand... they just have a web with buckle that wraps around a part of the stand and then buckles to the vest part... there are six if my memory serves me right... I know a buddy put his on a Summit and used it for a while... not sure if he still does, as we've not had a chance to hunt together this fall...

Thanks Jonathan...if you get a chance to talk to him about it, let me know if it has worked for him.  I happen to use Summit Stands and tend to pack in a long way, so if I had some first hand knowledge that it would work, that would be great!

Thanks Buddy!
