Although recurves and longbows are different, my first custom bow was a 64" Bob Lee Signature Hunter TD recurve and that bow gave me finger pinch at my 30" draw. I sold that bow and bought my present 66" Blacktail TD recurve and no finger pinch.

But for longbows, I want a "long" bow. I just like shooting a 68" or longer longbow. If Jim Belcher would make his Longhorn hybrid longbow in a 70" length, I would have bought it instead of my present 68" Longhorn which is the longest length he offers in the Longhorn hybrid model.

Though not all of my longbows are long, I do prefer the classic look of a strung 68"-70" longbow. There's just something beautiful in this type of bow to me.   :)

If you're noticing finger pinch on a 64" bow you're even more sensitive to it than I am (my draw is 30.5") LOL!  :D

If you want to try one of the "sleeper" bowyers, contact Dave at Renegade Archery.  His Spirit I and II longbows are real shooters, though he only advertises them at 66" max.  A 68" should be easy for him on his forms and I know the design will handle the extra length well.

I draw 30 and my 64 inch LB is a joy to shoot. I don't mind a 62 incher either.
On edit I realized the bow I suggested is a three piece only.

The only problem with a Brackenbury is the long wait. Once someone places their order, I think the wait for a bow is a minimum 16 months now.
