nock fit

I was wanting to know people's opinions on using dental floss or such to build up the serving for a proper nock fit. Say I build a skinny string and serve it but the nock is too big and the arrow falls off the string, would it work to just build up the area under the nock point with floss? Thanks

Works for me, I used some artificial sinew, worked perfect!

I actually prefer my nock to be loose enough to fall off the string. My line of thinking is that if I can't get the fit 100% the same on all arrow/string combinations (which I can't) I'd prefer there to be no interference whatsoever. If I feel any sort of 'click' or resistance when I nock my arrow, I set about the nock with some very fine abrasive paper until it's a very slck fit.

I use serving material(i think it's # 60) and make a nock point above and below the nock and it works great.

I'm like Rob, I like my arrows to fall off my string with a light tap and do not want them to snap in at all! The sinew helped me get the perfect fit. I sent the guy who made my string a nock for proper fit but it appears he didn't use it! lol!

I use dental floss as per Dan Quillian's instruction. It works well.

I like mine to slide on and off easy but when it is to big I use hot water to warm up the nock then squeeze it together a little. Might have to play with it a few times but works great.

I also prefer a loose fit. I nock over the nock point and hold an arrow on my bow on my lap while on stand...until I see or hear a deer, then I stand if possible.
