Muddy outdoors stands/sticks??????

Does anyone here have first hand with tree stands and climbing sticks from Muddy Outdoors?

Their sticks are a lot like Lone Wolf's but they have solved the problem of the step only being used on one side at a time and have a real cool rope attachment system.

I've been eyeballing their stuff on their website (google the name to find it) but have not seen any of it in person.  So, I'm asking the hive, any info?

Good looking sticks, Dave.  I like the dual steps, too.  I'm not fond of the short 20" sticks, tho.  The 4 stick set will only get you to maybe 13 ft.  It takes a bunch to get very high.  You can set two from the ground, but then you have to carry the others with you as you climb or go back down to get the next stick.  Not that it can't be done, it just isn't easy, convenient or quiet.  Unless the tree is pretty crooked or I have to pack in quite a ways, I prefer a regular stick that assembles into a single piece.  I assemble it from the ground, run it all the way up the tree and strap it as I climb up.  Quick, quiet and easy.  The steel stick is a BUNCH cheaper, too.

We had a QDMA show here a few months ago and my buddy bought 6 stands and 6 pairs of tree sticks. He loves them. To your point the beauty of the sticks not being one piece is you can use them on all tree's not just straight ones.

Tom, did you get a chance to look them over yourself?

The design of the stand is pretty standard except for the feature of being able to slide the anchor block for the cables up and down the seat post to level the stand in leaning trees.  I'd love to get a feel for how solid they are.  I also like the larger expanded metal frame hole size.  The open frame (to me) is a plus during a stare down with a deer.  Just less stand there to see.  Not many stands have a solid platform anymore like the old Loc-on Lem's but I had two of them and the extra material made them heavy too.

Fletcher, I don't think the shortness of the steps will be an issue for me.  I am used to using either individual tie on steps (Stepp Ladder steps) or Rapid Rails.  The Rails are longer for sure than the Muddy sticks though.  Three Rapid Rails get me to a platform height of about 12 ft which is about my preferred height anyway.  I figure 4 sticks will get me about the same.  Lastly, I also like having separate sections on crooked or "clump trunk" trees where I may have to rotate the trunk as I go up or start up on one trunk and cross over to one next to it as I go.

Dave I didn't put them on a tree but fooled with them and can tell they are the real deal with all the bells and whistles.
