Hello ...can anyone tell me the starting brace for a Bear Tamerlane '70 in. 30# Thanks Steve...

PhilNY

The way I remember it those were at least 8 and as high as 9 inches. What we always did with our target bows was to make sure the limbs were clean, string free of silencers, and no wax on the string ends. I would untwist the string to make it so long that the bow noticably slaps the string, then twist it up till this goes away.Measure Fistmile (brace) Next I would make the string so short that the bow started to buzz and back off to just before this point.Measure Fist. The point in between those two measurements was the sweet spot. Always worked well for me in competition but some times took two strings.
