Great Day (pics)
« on: April 08, 2007, 01:30:00 AM »
After a long winter and another good dose of snow on monday i sure was looking forward to a day like today.... 70 degrees!! this time of the year usually finds me at my shop working 12-16hrs/day 6-7 days/week. with the weather warming up quickly i was looking for an excuse to call it an early day..... when my wife called and said that my sis, her husband and the kids were on their way to town for a few hours......well..... that was a good enough excuse for me. come to find out, my sister and the kids were at a sporting goods store today and my neice and nephew saw this little bow in the pics and had to have it...... they also had to come up to "uncle gino's" house TODAY so that they could shoot it......... WHAT A GREAT DAY IT WAS! looks like i have a few new bows to get built. this is my youngest neice and youngest nephew and sis is due in july with their third (a little girl).... they are the only ones out of our nieces and nephews who i have yet to build bows for. surprisingly, my niece was much more interested in shooting than jason jr. was and she and i shot for over 2 hours. my sis strung up one of joann's (my wife) bows and was still able to hold a group at 15 yards...... pregnant belly and all (she was an awesome shot when we were kids). once jaslyn got the hang of it she really started doing well (it is amazing how fast kids can catch on). i'll probably head to the shop tomorrow for half a day or so to make up for today........ but it was worth it!
