I need feedback on traditional magazine article.

Guys, I just had a small article on Trad archery hit the newstand in Backwoodsman magazine, already got a bunch of emails wanting more info. I have talked to the mag, may be looking at doing a 3 or 4 part seris on accoutrements, bow/arrow tuning, arrow making and so on. If any of  you guys  read this article, I would your feedback, which topics do you think would be most helpful to get new blood into our sport, or help those struggling. I als gave a shameless plug to this website and all our sponsors as you will see. And I meant every word I said about you all. Waiting to hear from you. Sam.

Yea know I saw and think I did read the article, trouble is Backwoodsman is about the only magazine I get that I read in the first day or two of recieveing that I don't remember the details. I'll try to reread it and get back to yea....

Mags are usually on sale at Walmart, or Bookland bookstores. Try their website, might get to read part of it free. Backwoodsmanmag.com, I think.

Sam , I read through it at the newstand the other day. Love the mag, and have issues from years ago.

I should get a subscription, but then I need other things, more important!

You did a fine read, but it seems every outdoor mag has done similar articles and with internet, so much of the same.

Like alot of things, sales of mags are lacking. Just saw an ad for Bowhunter mag scription for $10.00 a year.

I enjoyed your truck article last issue. I don't think you need to ask, just keep doing what your doing. If you enjoy it and they, the magazine want it, go for it!

I have read both of your articles in BWM, and enjoyed them both. If you are looking for material for a 3-4 part series, I think the logical place to start would be selecting equipment and avoiding the pitfalls that all new trad shooters fall into, such as overbowing, practicing until you are exhausted, using mismatched equipment, etc. Then you can progress from there.

A lot of guys coming over from the dark side think they can pull an 80# bow, just because they have an 80# compound. What they miss, though, is the fact that they are only holding about 15# at full draw.
