there is a how -to on skinning a bow... All you need is skins, glue, cleaner ( actone )and a good sealer like tru-oil.

Painting a bow is easy and cheap. Make some templates of leaves or branchs and get some Krylon camo and go for it.

There used to be a product called Bowdull, a spray paint which was easily removed and came in several colors.

I like to refinish my used bows to original condition.  I use a camo pattern "sock" (sewn  fabric) covering the limbs to hunt.

I've done one like two arrows (though not as nicely done I might add). It's easy to do and is a cool way to personalize a bow, imho.

Deadbolt, I used a clear waterproof spray I bought at the hardware store. Don't remember the name, just asked the guy for the toughest waterproof stuff he had. Since it was shiny, I just gently touched it with a papertowel as it dried. Couple of coats and it was good to go. Last I saw, the new owner still had the same finish on it (with scratches/wear of course)after 2 years. I think I spent $15 on all the paint total.

Another solution is to send it in have it camo dipped.  There is a great sale going on til the end of the month.  Check the sponsors classifieds.

After I paint a bow I put a light coat of Deft satin on it. It becomes really durable...
