Pie-Bald deer
« on: November 13, 2009, 05:10:00 PM »
This summer my family and I were vacationing in the South Carolina Low Country, when I spotted a heard of deer. One was a pie-bald doe. They fed in the same location almost every night, so I was fortunate enough to get a picture. I thought you guys and gals might enjoy seeing it.

  Cool
What was big was not the antlers, but the chance. What was full was not the meatpole but the memory of the hunt.    --Aldo Leopold

I saw a pie bald doe once while I was shotgun hunting here in Ohio.  It came up and bedded down right in front of me.  I was only about eleven years old and didn't realize what it was and when I finally did I got so excited that I missed her every time I shot and she just got up and walked off.  They are very cool to see.
