Hello from yet another Newbie
« on: November 13, 2009, 05:35:00 PM »
Hi to everyone   :wavey:  I've been ghosting the site for a while getting a feel for the place. I have posted a few replies and I bought a longbow out of the classified section from Mike H in  Florida. I traded in my training wheels, finally ready to bowhunt like a grownup   :biglaugh:  . I hale from Narragansett RI, a little town (13 sq miles) in a little state. I'm a disabled firefighter, otj back injury, with 9 back surgeries under (or rather over) my belt. I just love the lightness of the tackle. I'm also looking forward to building my own woodies and hopefully a bow or two. The wealth of information and willingness to help one another here is unheard of on alot of the non trad sites. Also I've been dealing with Paul at Badger Arrow, extremely friendly and informative, easy to work with (purchased a cresting machine). I look forward to riding the wave of information here and I'm sure I'll have plenty of NEWBIE questions. I will try to search first before asking the Often asked and Answered questions. Thanks for letting me introduce Myself.

How ya doin Butch! I don't believe I've ever seen another Tradganger from Rhode Island. Lived in Warwick when I was a teen a looooong time ago. Great Japanese food and duckpin bowling I remember.

Hi Horatio 1226- yeah good Japanese food, but duck pins, really, jk,alot of stuff moved in up that way (RI swamo yankee talk for past the tower, you have to be from RI to understand). Also alot has moved down my way now. If you ever come back this way look me up, best beaches along the New Enland coast, plus loads of deer. Some of the highest densities in NE.

Welcome to the Gang, Butch!  Always good to have another arrow builder in the crowd.

Welcome, glad to have ya. Sounds like your off to a great start. Built a house for a guy from RI, Keegans. He liked it down here so much all of his family from his and wifes side moved down here. Kept me busy for 3 years! You guys are great! Love your state troopers, real sweethearts those guys!  Welcome again!
