Quiver question
« on: November 17, 2009, 07:17:00 PM »
Does anyone make a decent removable bow quiver that doesn't require bolts/screws?  I have a Selway, but don't like having it on the bow when I'm in my stand.  I'm looking for something easy on/easyoff.

I'm thinking about sending my riser back to Ron Pittsley to see if he will install two extra bushings so I can use like a quickey quiver or something similar.

Mountainboy,  you can put those in yourself and save a bundle.  It's pretty basic drilling and gluing.  I'm PM'ing you with an option for that project.

I don't like a bow quiver so I made this GFA style quiver using my old Selway slide-on, a leather strap and a piece of ash board.

I don't like a bow quiver either, that's why I'm looking for a removeable one.  I dont like having one swinging on my hip, or on my back catching every low branch as I'm sneaking thru the brush.  On the bow I can quietly control the arrows and when I get to my stand I would like to detach it and hang it in the tree.

I don't want any holes or inserts in my bow, so I was thinking of velcro.  I might try to make something myself with one of my Selways.

Just got a Great Norther adjustable strap on quiver.  By far the best quiver i've owned...just wish i would have bought one first and saved myself the time and money of trying the rest.

without a doubt, i'm hooked on efa quivers - and specifically, the 4 and 5 arrow totems.

ultra light weight, superb materials and craftsmanship.  take this from someone who hated bow quivers!

Rob, are you having luck with that quiver? It's getting late in the season.  :jumper:
