Bad Boys

It has been a long weekend.  Yesterday I spent five hours sitting outside operating the deer decoy on a road that has been experiencing a lot of road hunting. The bandit had shot six bucks in about a four mile area and cut the heads off only to leave the the whole body. Payoff was huge we catch the guy shooting robo deer and he has a buck head in his truck bed he just shot that morning. For those that are wondering he is looking at about five thousand in fines and loss of hunting rights and all equipment that was confiscated.

Back at it this morning and we catch another guy in a different county. This fine sportsman bails out the passenger side of a small car(the car drives on) and runs in a set of woods across from the decoy. It is rifle season and he does not have the required hunter orange and he does not have permission to be in the woods. He proceeds to put the stalk on the decoy. The poacher then gets into position to take a shot and we have a vehicle come down the road and start to photograph the decoy. The vehicle moves on and we end up sending two officers down to catch the guy. This guy did not have a good day after we got through with him.

The end of the day was horrible. All I can say is at least no one was shot.

Total time spent Saturday and Sunday 23 hours. This includes paperwork, field prep, and field work. I will be glad when gun season is over. I think. Catching these guys is just like hunting bucks   :goldtooth:

Good job.  I hate poaching.  And I hate that people think there is pride in that.  I have never understood the point in just killing something and not earning it.  Whats worse is some people I personally know thinks its not a big deal... Sad.

a buddy of mine has 150 acres that just the two of us hunt. Last Saturday while on the stand a car stops out of view and pops off a shot and speeds off.  This week my buddy finds a small 8point had been shot just off the road and left lay.  "Slimeballs"  I'd like to see all of those lazy slobs caught!
Good for you, keep up the great work.

Good for You. During the early rifle season here last year someone shot two and cut their heads off within a couple a miles of My house.

I love hearing when the " Slob Hunters " get caught and have to pay.

Respect the job you do, but this isn't trad bowhunting related. Sorry!
