Can anyone on here tell me if Ray takes compound hunters on his hog hunts?  I have a couple of buddies that hunt with compounds that are looking for a good hog hunt.

Far as I know, Ray's hunts are restricted to stick and string only. I could be wrong though. Our hunt at Ray's this spring was one of the best times I've had, and I didn't even get a chance to drop the string.

Ron....since Rob didn't get to make it on the last one....I'm gonna bring him back some time...maybe you can join us.

I'll chat with Ray and Rob on when Ray might have 3 openings.

Terry, That would be just too cool! I'm afraid it will be spring before I can get away for a couple days though.

To answer Willob's question, Ray's place is trad only right?

I believe conversion by example is an extremely effective tool.

Browbeating someone to go with either equipment choice is not in anyone's long term best interest.

On the other hand, we are a traditional outfitter.

However, if you think your friends might be converted, and you would find a total of five guys, why not book and bring your friends, let's all of us bring extra bows and equipment for them, and let's see if we can SHOW these two how much fun we're having and get em over from the dark side?

One last thing- everyone who is coming to camp that week must be OK with these guys being there- thats why I say you have to book the entire camp- there can be no open slots because I can't ask others to come when they might object, if you see what I mean?

Under those conditions I would allow them to come.Is that fair?

I was there two weeks ago with the two Terry's and took a friend along that wasn't a traditional shooter.  About a month before we were due to hunt I gave him one of my bows and and went over the basics with him. The next day I met up with him he had placed a pin on the bow said he couldn't shoot without it.  After a couple of weeks his confidence had increased enough that I switched bows on him (no pin on this bow) when he shot he was amazed that he was hitting the general area that he was aiming at.  We made some arrows and I think he's hooked.

I wouldn't mind sharing a camp again with Ray and the two Terry's let me know when you guys plan on going back.  Have a great Thanksgiving. George
