I would guess that they'll be eating pretty much whatever they can get their fat faces into, same as the rest of the year.

I think they especially like elder guys from Illinois who go by the name ranger 2, or ranger 3, something like that.

Hey Ranger 3,
Besides chomping on Illinoians, they pretty much eat everything from grass roots and shoots to flowers, to cannabalizing young deer and other baby animals. This is true, I have witnessed it right here on the ranch. And I read somthing that might interest you fellers from Jersey, I might have read it here somwhere, I have CRS disease and just can't remember. But they say to control a pig population you must kill seven of every ten. They are that prolific. Welcome to year round hunting, and best of luck. Kill'em all.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.  They ain't to picky about what they put in their mouths.

Here in my area they really hit meadows during that time of year going after tender shoots and fresh roots.

Yup. In my area of OK, they concentrate a lot on rooting up creekbanks, pond damns and low lying meadows.

The best thing to feed them, that time of the year, is an arrow weighing about 500 to 700gr. with a real sharp broadhead sitting out front.

With any luck, they'll be eating wood...or carbon or aluminum.

Have fun!
