Bought my first Traditional Bow here off the Tradgang classifieds. I have tried different setups & techniques over the past several months. thousands of arrows later still no better groups. I am shooting a TD Longbow 62" 51 @ 28. Would like to try (Buy) something else to be sure it is not the bow. Any suggestions on a easy to tune & shoot trad bow for hunting purposes.

I find myself chasing the arows around all over the target. i guess I am mentally trying to correct each arrow from the previous one. I have tried concentrating on one spot and just shooting one arrow groups. nothing seems to help. i just got a very old recurve out of my attic (Locksley) and shot a pretty decent group at 20 yards. Size of a pie plate I would say. Alot better than my new bow.

Don't give up be conscious of your form and try to relax don't compensate for arrows that are not hitting the mark. Get some hay bales and without any target at 10 yards and work on your form.Draw the bow back as you raise it straight back with the pull when the bow is level  and tilt your head forward and shoot.Don't over think the shot!you can do it RELAX.

Do yourself a favor and read Byron Ferguson's book, "Become the Arrow". Believe me, I was in the same boat you are until I read this book. Made a tremendous difference in a very short time in my shooting. Trust me.

Find someone near you to shoot with that knows what they are doing.

I wonder if your arrows are tuned to your bow.  An arrow that is not correct will give you all kinds of trouble.  I shoot recurves and longbows about the same but I am a gap shooter I guess.

I'm guessing the problem is your form or the aiming process.  Not your bow.  To find out which, take a golf ball and put in front of the target so that when you put the point of the arrow on the golf ball and release your arrow hits the target.

If the arrow are grouping it's your aiming process, if not it's your form.  Let us know and we'll help with the answer.
