string silencers

hey guys i need help on silencers for a recurve i want string silencers that are about 7" long and are about 1" diameter you know like really big river otter silencers but are wool or what do you use. where can i get them or how do i make them thanks guys and god bless

You want the silencers to each cover 7" of the string?? That's a heck of a lot of weight to add to the string w/o much added benefit.

Is this for a recurve to quiet down the string slap? yarn works well for that.
You'll probably need 9-10" strips of fur to get that length. I have some I can cut to that length, but wow!

I recently put a couple bowhush and hush puppies on my recurve and WOW what a difference that made. Best couple of bucks I have spent in a while. Bow is super quiet now !
