ABS Superglove
« on: December 03, 2009, 01:00:00 PM »
I'm getting ready to order one of these. Just looking for opinions on those that have used them.

I shoot 50#'s if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

...By far my favorite glove!  The glove is durable, slick releasing the string, and gives great protection.  I love it!

Thanks Claudia! I was mainly hoping that it wasn't a lot more glove than I needed shooting 50#.

I have the superglove from 3rivers but it says abs on the tag so i guess it's the same.

Takes a bit to break it in...I shoot 58lbs with a 10 strand string so I like the added protection.  Tips are hard and you get a good release.  Will last a long time.

Excellent glove!!  I shoot between 60 and 70 pounds, the glove provides good protection and a smooth release.  If fact I just recently switched back to the super glove after shooting the big shot glove for some time.  I feel I am getting a better release with the super glove with the same level of protection.

Two things to keep in mind.........

1.  They require some breaking-in.  I turn mine inside-out with a pencil and soak with Montanna Pitch Blend, Sno-Seal, or something similar to make the break-in go faster.  I soak the outside also.

2.  I only buy them at a tournamnent or store where I can try it on first.  I like a new glove to fit very tight, so I can just barely get it on--that way it's perfect when broken in.  They can vary a LOT--I tried on X-large that were too small and Large that were too big (for referance, my wedding band is a size 15).  I just picked through them and found some that fit.

I shoot primarily with a Cavalier Elite tab now, but the ABS is my favorite glove to date, and what I still use for bowfishing.

Thanks again guys.

Chad, thanks for the break in tips!

I ordered one yesterday afternoon. Guess I have to hope it fits now!
