Headed to AR in Jan
« on: December 03, 2009, 06:53:00 PM »
Im going to Rick Welches shooting school for a couple of days. I thought,  I would stay a couple of extra days and hunt hogs.  Any one hunted hogs in AR  with in an HR of Little Rock.  Do you need a license on private land or just on public land? Is the a big population of feral Hogs, or am I wasting my time staying a couple of extra days?

There is lots of hogs within an hour of Little Rock, but I'm sure you will need someone in the area to take you. I dont know Rick, but he might can hook you up with someone. Deer season is going on right now, so that may complicate things for some. I am not sure about non resident license. Look up agfc.com Sorry I could'nt be more help. Lin

I look it up it wasn't real clear, if you needed a license on private land.

I think you need a license on both public and private.

You will need a license, they sell a 3 day non-resident, i think the price is reasonable. Gulf Mountain WMA is about an hour from Conway, where Rick has his class, there are some hogs out there. I believe Rick has hunted hogs on public land im sure he could point you in the right direction.  Good luck.
