Easton arrow

I'll be getting a Partner in about 7 months  :D
I was wondering what would be the best Easton arrow to get?  I draw 29.5, and it will be 60# at that draw.  I was thinking a 2016.  Do you figure 2 inches longer than your draw length for the length of the arrow?
Thanks in advance
Jason

IMO no way on the 2016. With that draw length & weight you might need to go up to the 2020 shaft.

Check out the Easton arrow shaft chart for some help.

Which shaft that you choose will depend on how much longer than your draw length you want the arrow to be as well as the tip weight.  As others have said, I can't imagine that 2016, even if cut to 29.5", will be stiff enough for you.  2216 might be a good starting point for you.  If you consider carbon arrows, I think 400 or 340 spine ought to be a good starting point for you with the easton or beeman arrows.  2" longer than your draw length seems a little excessive.  I can't see too much reason to go much more than an inch above your draw length, and many go with less than that.

2018,2020,2215,2117, or 2216...thats weak to stiff.(.464 to .376) Currently shooting 29.5 2020s with 160 total up front out of a 60# predator w/dacron string. All of those arrows have shot out of different 60# bows for me with different setups.

With out knowing any orher details such as , cut past center, ff or dacron string, brand of bow, i would say you are going to be in the 2117, 2216 range.
