Great Plains 20th Anniversary Edition..
« on: December 07, 2009, 02:49:00 AM »
Gday Guys,

I just thought I would ask if any of you own or have shot the Great Plains 20th anniversary edition recurve.....

I currently own two of Bills bows, one is the SR Swift take down, which I have three sets of limbs for ( Rio Bravo 50-60-70# ) and the other is a  traditional longbow ( Casador in Yew 60# )both of these bows are fantastic bows and I cannot fault them.....

I am very interested in the Anniversary edition now, (if they are still available) I would love to know if any of you guys out there own and shoot one these bows, just to let me know what your thoughts are.... A picture of the bow strung would be greatly appreciated..

Cheers Guy..   :)

I shot one at the Traditional Hill Country Shoot at Bug Scuffle back in the spring. Nice bow.
Very similar to the SR Swift just a one piece version. The one I shot had great wood. I prefer a little more mass weight however.

Thanks Mate, I would guess that the Anniversary edition would shoot the same as the Swift takedown.. like I said previously I love the performance of my other Great Plains bows, so a bow order may be on its way.... I would just like to see a few more pictures of he bow to totally make my mind up..!

Cheers Guy..

Hey Guy,

Just sent you a PM with some pictures as you requested. I have had the SR Swift and this bow shoots very similar. Mine is a bit quicker than the TD swift I had and the grip is a touch larger. Very nice bows and super pretty to look at. I have owned four Great Plains recurves and still have 3 of them. All are great shooters.
