Alright, I know there are a few guys on here from North Carolina. What, if any traditional clubs do you belong to. Looking to join one, just trying to find some guys to shoot and hunt with that get the traditional deal.

Hey Tim, I'm in aviation too. I am a member of Triad Traditional Archers/Stick and Wheel Archery(kind of a shared range thing). Great club, excellent range and wonderful group of fellas. The club is in Kernersville. Where are you?

Tim,
Check out the website mygpaa.com (Greater Piedmont Archery Assoc.) Big Buck and JR's clubs are probably the closest to you.

CTA(Carolina Traditional Archers) sponsors the State Championship near Hickory each year on Memorial Day Weekend. The club has shoots every month at their club property. I'm sorry but I don't have contact info but I'm sure someone will come along with the info for you or Google CTA.

second what 2fletch said. Our club shoots provide lunch, which occurs on the 2nd Sat of the month, (near Hickory). The state shoot which has been mentioned, draws numerous vendors, and about 400 shooters.

Sissipahaw has three open tournaments per year. Guilford Bowhunters now has a seperate range for traditional. They usually have one or so all traditional shoots each year.
The monthly get togethers at Carolina Traditional Archery are a lot of fun. I haven't been to a lot of them lately but have enjoyed them in the past.
It's a good mix of people shooting primitive and traditional.

In that case, Forsyth and Stick & Wheel will be your closest in the GPAA. I think Forsyth is "kicking off the new year" with a shoot the first Sunday in January. Check the GPAA site schedules.
