natural faze or sign of the times?
« on: December 16, 2009, 12:56:00 PM »
I'm relatively new to trad and was curious if this is normal. It seems like there are alot of nice bows for sale really cheap at the moment, but they dont seem to be moving. If they are up for trade it seems like they get swapped pretty quick. Does this happen alot or just a product of the economy?. I know some stuff sells no matter what is happening, just curious is all......Roy

Things have definitely slowed down in the classifieds with the slow economy.

Also, it's Christmas and many people have other priorities for their money at this time of the year.  Some are also probably waiting to see if Santa brings them something nice.

I think it's a combination of the Holiday season and a bad economy.

You said you are relatively new to trad...so one thing that you'll come to learn, just like I did, is that alot of the guys on here and in various trad communities change bows alot.  It's an addiction for most of us.  We buy, sell, and trade all the time to try new bows, new brands, new styles, etc.  The economy definately has a play in it too of course, but with trad shooters -- it's just an addiction most of us succumb too eventually!    :D

to me its the time to buy because it seems everyone else is holding out until after the holidays and seasons.

I've been trying to sell a few bows since almost spring time, and a guitar...ironically the only thing I have left is the one bow I thought would sell fast.   But it's taken almost 8 months now too sell anything.  SO personally I think it has more to do with the times than anything else.   I dont expect things to change much come this new year.
